Back to republishing old Wanderlost stories. I got derailed last week when I came down with what mostly likely was the flu. My doctor called it a “viral infection” — which, given the current concerns over coronavirus, was not reassuring. I was laid up for most of last week with a fever temperature ranging between 99-102. I finally overcame it by midweek, but it took another few days for my body to recover. I finally feel normal again. Thanks for your patience!

Sharks are really, really rude.

The song they are singing, if you are curious, is “The Mermaid“, a traditional Celtic song. Bascom Lamar Lunsford has a lovely rendition here.

Nothing perks one up like a mermaid song.

Sheldon returns!
Well, to the comic. He’s still a long way from home. The previous story (or chapter) focused on the efforts of his family and friends to find him. This chapter (or story) is all about his adventures on the ocean.
I had a lot of fun with this story. I changed up how I drew the series, abandoning old sketch and marker tools for pen and brush and ink; used a larger size of Bristol; and played with different techniques.
As I was uploading this page, I noticed that the date for the image file was 1/20/2010. So dang. I drew this ten years ago! Where did the decade go? (Rhetorical question; don’t answer that; long story.) I hope y’all enjoy this story as much as I did creating it.
