Finally.

I say that for two reasons: This is the last page of this story; and it’s been a few months since the previous page was posted. To all of you who have waited patiently for new material, I apologize for the long delay. My health has been terrible: sinus infection, respiratory infection, numerous colds, fatigue…. No fun.

But now I am feeling much better. I am meeting the doctor today to deal with a respiratory infection, but I think an Ibuterol inhaler will do the trick. I borrowed my wife’s, and it did wonders.

So, yes, the last page of “Out to Sea” and a new page next week of a new story. Woohoo!

You should probably be asking yourself, “Where did Chloe get the batter for the rat on a stick?” She is a very resourceful duck. She improvised something out of the flora she found. Flour from flowers? Their seeds? I wish I knew. She never shared her recipe.

Sheldon is a cute little pig. But he can be a bit too self-involved.

My 6-year-old son looked over my should as I drew this page. “Oh my God!” he said. “Why is the duck trying to kill Sheldon?” I explained the context — more than I have provided as storyteller to y’all (patience, reveals are a’comin’); but really, given all that Sheldon has put her through, why wouldn’t Chloe try to kill him? Or at least feel the urge.

Ever have a pinched nerve in your back? It’s kinda painful. I had one last week. Hence, no update last Wednesday. I’m on pain meds now, so I am feeling better. But taking it easy.

Every month brings something new. See you next week, barring any new health hazards or natural disasters.

Um. Right. Regular updates. This should have appeared a month ago. But there was a funeral, then bronchitis, then more pressing domestic issues, and so life goes.
