Yep. Another late post. I missed last week because I was sick. This week my wife is sick. So I am working on my cartoons when I get a spare moment - a rare phenomenon lately.

Anyway, sorry for making you wait. And double sorry to post a black and white page.

This page almost didn’t make it. I was nearing the endpoint of inking the page when - inexplicably - a drop of Diet Pepsi escaped my lips and landed on the bottom panels, causing the ink to bleed and smear. That’s right. I drooled. As if I had returned to infancy. Thank goodness for Photoshop.

Sorry for the lack of update last week. The last week of August always gives me the blues. No reason why. We’re on a regular schedule from now on.

SO, as promised, the new page is here on Wednesday. This new schedule seems to work more harmoniously with the rest of my life. And my kids see more of me on the weekend. Maybe too much of me, but that’s another matter….

Sorry for the lack of an update last week. And for the black and white update today. We’ve been trying to get my house in shape so that it’s a decent place to live and not the mess-strewn hole that it has become. Also my current production schedule doesn’t seem to fit with all of my other schedules. So next week I will start posting on Wednesdays. That way I’m not cramming everything into the weekend, not rushing and thus not putting out pages I deem less than worthy of posting. Of course, there’s always artistic insecurity to contend with, but I think this will enable me to post more dependably and with higher quality work.

Sheldon and Chloe met Clara and Oscar in “Up in the Air” (which starts here). Ma Pig and Clara hit it off just fine.

Today’s page was delayed by the heat. My upstairs studio becomes unbearable after 3pm most Summer days, but yesterday was extra special hot, so the unbearability factor clocked in at 10am. I did what I could before I could take it no longer.

Today has been kinder, gentler, a thousand points of less heat-intensive light.
