Today’s page appears in black and white, because I ran out of time to color it. However, I will be adding color later today, so fear not that this will become a trend. If you want to see it in it’s colorful glory, check back later in the evening. Sorry for the incompleteness.

How do you know a nutjob when you meet one? I mean, some folks are obvious, but I think most sneak up on you. A friend of mine in college used to call them “freaks without warning,” normal seeming people who reveal through conversation a their personal disconnect from reality. In Mr. Guzek here, I think Liz is not sure what she has brought into her life: charming eccentric, mad genius, or just a looney.

Because I think of this webcomic as a kid-friendly adventure (but adult-friendly, too), I spared y’all the gruesome details of the kraken’s demise. Kinda sad, though. It was just looking for a bite to eat. I’m the kinda guy who roots for the predator on nature shows. “I know that bunny is really cute, but I don’t want the mountain lion to starve.” My kids do not share this sentiment. However, I make exceptions for elephants. They got it rough, man.

This was supposed to appear last week. During most of December I dealt with a bronchial spasms, asthma and lung infection that at one point was serious enough to require a trip to the emergency room. While I was recovering, I was vulnerable to other bugs floating around, and got hit with one of those last week. I am finally over that and am doing much better. And thus today’s update.

I apologize for the extra week delay. Let’s hope that this year goes much better than last.

It’s just past noon here on the West Coast of the North American continent, so obviously this update was running late. My apologies for the delay. The holiday season inflicts these disruptions, so expect a few more until after New Year’s Day.

That couch could be the death of them all.

Hope everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving had a good time last week. I spent the time with friends and family, and stayed as far away from retail riots as I could.

Yeah, a little grizzly. But I’m pretty sure it’s just sculpted tofu.

For all my fellow Yanks celebrating Thanksgiving with loved ones, have a great time and keep safe. For the rest of you – do the same!
