If you are a fan of Breaking Bad as I am, you will probably recognize the props littering this pinup. There’s Walt’s Heisenberg hat; the lily of the valley; the tortoise that turned out to be a terrible gift for Danny Trejo; the axe favored by The Cousins; the fake eyeball from a pink teddy bear; and the box cutter not so favored by Victor. As last Sunday’s episode (“Dead Freight”) demonstrated, Breaking Bad is not a kid-friendly form of entertainment — which made paying tribute to it with my own innocent creation an interesting challenge. Mostly it required some editing, especially where the tortoise is concerned.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed it. The heat wave has made getting anything done a much larger challenge. We are still cleaning out my drawing studio from the black mold and mildew. We tore out the drywall and insulation, sprayed the insides of the walls with bleach, and calked the bottom edges with a rain-resistant polymer. Now we have to install new insulation and mount new drywall. The next few days will be in the high 90s and even low 100s (fahrenheit, of course), so we’ll see how that goes. But I will have a new pinup next week. This time I promise it will be a samurai mashup with the Warthog. Honest.
