Here is the first of a series of pinups I will be doing for the next few weeks. My drawing studio has been infected with black mold, so I need to clean that out, and prepare a new drawing space to work on the main stories. Also I need to get writing the next storyline. So that will require time, which I am buying in grand old webcomics tradition.

I finally saw Dark Knight Rises yesterday. As a cinematic experience, as a third installment in a trilogy and as a piece of storytelling, it is impressive. I am still puzzling over the ideological implications of the work – but those arise from nearly every superhero story you can find. Anyway, it inspired today’s pinup, obviously, although I borrowed from the classic Batman costumery, mostly from the Adam West TV series (in my humble O, the best incarnation of Batman ever.)

We’ll see what inspires me next week. I suspect something samurai-oriented. The Warthog deserves his own pinup, for sure.
