Long Way from Home Page 31

Language, bleh.

Overall happy with this page. It required little correction in Photoshop, most of what I drew in real space ended up looking good on screen, and I like the over all design. Not that it’s groundbreaking, but it works.

Friends of mine who have known me for a long time will no doubt recognized the real life model for the wolves. I cannot draw that animal without thinking of my late, lamented dog Crash, who was a quarter wolf, along with malamute and German shepherd. On a recent visit to the Oregon Zoo, I dropped by the wolf exhibit; their behavior was uncannily like my old dog’s. So I feel a little guilty drawing them as menacing creatures — Crash was far from vicious, more like a giant playful friend; but then, I wouldn’t want to meet a pack of them in the woods at night when neither of us has had much to eat. Or even on a full stomach.

Anyway, here is an old pic of my old dog, taken around the time the baby was born (note all the baby clothes and stuff spread everywhere.)

So vicious.
