Long Way from Home Page 17

This was supposed to appear last week. During most of December I dealt with a bronchial spasms, asthma and lung infection that at one point was serious enough to require a trip to the emergency room. While I was recovering, I was vulnerable to other bugs floating around, and got hit with one of those last week. I am finally over that and am doing much better. And thus today’s update.

I apologize for the extra week delay. Let’s hope that this year goes much better than last.

You have a lot of Upper respiratory issues. Have you considered seeing a naturopath for preventative medicine?
I worked in the medical field for over 20 years in many capacities, mostly as a military medic, and while I use an MD for problems I already have, I use a ND to help prevent other problems and just to keep me healthy at the other times.
The only problem is that Naturopathic Doctors usually aren’t covered by health insurance.

    Hi Dan,

Thanks for the tip. Preventative care sounds like good advice, so I’ll check it out. I actually know a few naturopaths here in Portland, OR. I’ll see what they say. Thanks for being concerned – and for all your years of service.

I second Daniel’s advice. I’m finishing my Chiropractic Doctorate in April. I’ve seen quite a few amazing turn arounds in URT recurrences through homeopathy and naturopathy. A friend had great results after a bout of pneumonia with colloidal silver treatment through an NP- they’ve got some pretty amazing Treatment options :)
